We love this farm and the people who own it! The produce is always fresh and delicious and we are so happy to be able to support a local farm.
Kristin V.
The Father's Farmhouse is my weekly joy, to talk & laugh with the Manno family while finding fresh produce & yummy eggs for our table. What a joy! Love the Elderberry syrup.
Nancy B.
We love the Manno’s and their love for community. The eggs are like nothing I have ever tasted. Big bright orange yokes that are so satisfying! I love the zucchini best, and they always have some specialty item for sale made by someone in the community. The atmosphere is so fun to bring my Granddaughter to as they have all kinds of farm animals that they let us visit.
Rachel H.
Father’s Farmhouse is organic and grown with love. They have the best chicken eggs and even have duck eggs!!! Their herbs are delicious, and incredibly last for weeks!! They have perfectly ripened tomatoes, peppers, squash, and many other seasonal produce items. They also have specialty items like elderberry syrup!!! I trust and highly recommend Father’s Farmhouse for all of your produce and egg needs!!!!

Father's Farmhouse Membership Frequently Asked Questions

Why Are You Offering Memberships? In light of the feedback we have received from our local community, not to mention increased concerns over inflation and global food shortages, we are looking to greatly expand our food-growing capacities. Doing so requires us to install new irrigation infrastructure, take on more labor costs, and expand our marketing efforts. Memberships are frequently used to help small farms grow. They provide an influx of capital enabling farmers to expand their operations and deliver more produce to their customers. Farming is also hard work and has many risks and learning curves. Having our produce presold helps us to put much-needed focus on the actual growing of our food. Memberships create a supportive community of regular customers around us who feel ownership in what we are doing. Knowing we are working to put the food we promised on your table spurs us on! What is a Father’s Farmhouse Membership? Our farm membership is essentially a prepaid investment in future produce. Members will receive a Father’s Farmhouse account reflecting the balance of their investment. All produce purchases throughout the year will then be deducted from the member’s account. What Do I Get for My Membership? Memberships give our members priority access to our produce supply and secure our lowest prices for the year. Members will be given a produce calendar that shows our current and anticipated harvests throughout the year as well as a detailed price list. If inflation and food shortages force our prices up, members are guaranteed the listed prices (or lower) for the duration of their annual membership. Member price lists will be updated every April when our new agricultural calendar begins. Member prices are set every April and will remain the same until March 30th the following year. Will There Be Products Offered Not on the Member Price List? Yes, there are times when we will offer products obtained from local vendors. Because we do not have control over the price of these products, we cannot offer a guaranteed annual price list. How Long Does My Membership Last? Your membership stays active as long as you maintain a positive balance in your account.
How Much Does a Membership Cost? We are offering two membership payment plans: 1. $500 initial deposit to open an account with the option to add additional funds throughout the year if total membership allotments have not been capped. 2. $1,000 initial deposit to open an account with a 10% bonus ($100) added to your balance.
How Do I View My Account? You will be able to view your account balance and history of transactions at any time via a google sheets document. We will input the transactions and update the balance for you. What if I Use Up the Balance in My Account? If you use up your initial membership investment before the end of March, you may add more money to your account. A minimum of a $100 deposit is required. What If I Don’t Use Up the Balance in My Account Before the End of March? Don’t worry, you can roll your balance into the following year’s membership. At the beginning of April, you will be given the updated “Member’s Price List” for that membership year. How Do I Get My Produce? You can come to our regular Saturday Farmer's Markets to pick out your produce. We will deduct your purchases from your member account. Also, on Tuesdays from 3:00 – 7:00 pm, we have kitchen pickup days. We will leave our gates open, and members can come by anytime during those hours to pick up their orders. Just pull up the driveway and park in front of our Market Kitchen; we will run your order out to your car. This means Monday morning you will receive a group text or email giving you a list of the produce and products we currently have ripe and available. Send me (Shay) a text no later than 8 am Tuesday morning with your order. Since all orders are subject to our produce supply, if there are certain items you don’t mind substituting you can indicate your second and even third choice with a dash. Here is an example of a text order: Hey Shay! I want to pick up this Tuesday. 1 Box Pink Peppercorns 1 Loaf Sourdough Sandwich Bread 3 lbs. Grapes / 2lbs Figs 5 lbs. Italian Zucchini / Crooked-Necked Squash / Butternut Squash 1 Bundle Lavender
This lets us know we can pack you 3 lbs. of grapes or 2 lbs. of figs. Also, it lets us know that if we run short on zucchini, we can pack you 5 lbs. of any combination of zucchini, crook-necked squash, and/or butternut squash.
Is Father’s Farmhouse Produce Grown Organically? While we are currently too small to become a USDA-approved organic farm, our farming practices match or exceed USDA standards. We use organic and heirloom seeds, and natural fertilizers and only use organic-based herbicides and pesticides composed of neem and essential oils. Our chickens and ducks graze freely on over 3 acres of pasture eating grasses and insects, and are supplemented in the evenings with organic feed, producing robust eggs rich in nutrition. What if There are Problems with My Produce? If you receive any unsatisfactory produce, please let us know so we can refund or replace it. We also need and want feedback so that we can improve our growing and processing methods. What if You Are Not Able to Deliver the Produce You Promised? Being a small, start-up farm we are going to do our absolute best to supply increasing amounts of produce to our customers. That’s why we are looking for partners who have the patience to grow with us and see their membership as a long-term investment in their local farm. That said, it’s been a crazy couple of years so if hail, fire, flood, nuclear war, or an alien invasion should prevent us from growing your food, we will pay you back. We value your trust and our integrity way too much! Can I Visit Your Farm? Absolutely! If you would like a farm tour to see our sustainable farming practices in action, want to bring the kids to pet the sheep, chase chickens, and pick their own fruit and veggies, just give us a call and we will make you an appointment. Is there Any Way Else I Can Get Involved? Yes, we can use all the help we can get! We have multiple volunteer and internship opportunities from the groves to the gardens, to the Market Stand, come help us plant, harvest, care for animals, and sell to our community. We will also be holding community events throughout the year, and help from our friends sure keeps things fun!
Produce availability is projected at the beginning of the agricultural year and is not guarenteed. Member Price List will be updated every April.
